Mr. Grumpy Pants

In a world filled with tragedy and sacrifice, with Islamic terror attacks in San Bernardino, Orlando, Istanbul, Bangladesh and now Nice, I am angry. Like many of you, I feel helpless. I try not to be judgmental. I’m trying to be more retrospective.

I hear every day, of the misery of innocents in Syria, Iraq and beyond, the suffering of so many, by religious persecution and genocide. How do I, should I, shut out the pain and suffering of others, so I might carry on with daily life?

Granted, I am a bit of a news junkie, in particular since 9/11. That day I was informed of the attack, I thought it was a joke. Now I stay informed.

Many who are close to me would advise me to be more laid back, less grumpy, let the planes fly over my house without mooning the passengers. I’m going to try to be more laid back. I may even consider cancelling the order for a 12 ft. sign telling a certain airline to “Get the f*** off my plain.”

Unfortunately, I remain a skeptic. For example, I find “Mr. Grumpy Pants” has a reason to remain in character with the decision by Mr. Comey, Director of the FBI to exonerate Hillary Clinton of any purposeful wrong doing in her use of a personal server for email as SOS. He just basically said she and all those associated with her are idiots, but that’s not a crime! Could we be faced with four, even eight more years of Obama!!??

"if you've got a business, you didn't build that"

“if you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that”

Have I grown increasing cynical? Probably. Do I feel less empowered? No. I make my own decisions and draw my own conclusions. Simply put, DC is corrupt and the only remedy is term limits.

I wrote Eyes Wide Open  a few years ago. It was a personal soul searching Q&A. I keep going back to it to find better answers, and disturbingly there are few if any, that I have discovered, only more consternation. I ended my missive by citing my best friend and companion over the past 13 years. Cody, my 13 yr. old chocolate lab passed away recently. I miss him terribly.

Cody epitomized everything that I believe should be right in this world. His life, was a respite fom everything that is wrong with this world. Cody gave me his unconditional love. I gave him mine. We need more relationships like ours. Did I mention I picked up his poop?

Live the American Dream? #WakeUpAmerica

#WakeUpAmerica

Like many entrepreneurs, I have faced many challenges. They’re called opportunities. I’ve met most, failed many, but I’ve persevered. The American Dream is about opportunity. It’s not a given. You have to face your challenges, because you can live the American Dream.

Many Americans no longer believe in the American Dream. There is a hashtag, #WakeUpAmerica trending on Twitter. I hope it resonates with more Americans. To realize your dreams, you have to wake up to those dreams. You have to live them. You have to have hope, passion, trust in others, work smart, and never give up.

From Forbes, The American Dream? are quotes from many well-respected leaders of the free world. Pick a liberal, a conservative, a libertarian or an independent, and they will say what you want to hear. In large part, Americans are supposed to believe what they say.

Take Nancy Pelosi for instance. She says, “The American Dream is the hope for a better future with equal opportunity for all to participate in the prosperity and success of our great nation.” Sounds good! You would think her basic beliefs are aligned with most Americans. In reality, that’s not the case.

An Obama quote is absent from The American Dream Forbes article. I Googled “Barack Obama on the American Dream.” From a 2012 NPR interview he said, “I think the history of the United States, the reason we became an economic superpower is because, not always perfectly, not always consistently, but better than any other country on Earth, we were able to give opportunity to everybody,” he said. “That’s what the American dream was all about.”  Obama says, “Preserving that dream requires a balancing act between self-interest and community. Success is not an entitlement in his book. But neither is it a reward for individual effort alone.” Obama said it to get reelected but his words fell on the deaf ears of many small business owners, a.k.a., taxpayers.

My support for Obama died when he said:

There are a lot of wealthy, successful Americans who agree with me because they want to give something back. If you’ve been successful, you didn’t get there on your own. You didn’t get there on your own. I’m always struck by people who think, well, it must be because I was just so smart. There are a lot of smart people out there.  It must be because I worked harder than everybody else. Let me tell you something – there are a whole bunch of hardworking people out there. If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.

Bullshit! He’s talking about the celebrity elite, not the guy that is building a successful business from nothing. He’s right! They didn’t build America, small businesses built America!

In 2012, we again, elected a president who is so self-absorbed with issues like a bad Iran deal, Islamaphobiaclimate change, Obamacare, and gun control. As for gun control, I believe we are entering a new era of lone wolf terrorist attacks on innocent civilians. Americans will absolutely recoil from any future gun control legislation.

Many American’s disagree with the president on almost every major issue, like Russia’s new conquest, Syria.  This president has gone so far as to put those who have taken all the risks, at risk of losing everything we’ve built, like life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. American exceptionalism is driven by individual effort multiplied by millions of Americans and it won’t take a backseat to entitlement. So sorry Mr. President, you didn’t build that, and you can’t take that away, either. #WakeUpAmerica

Money and the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Follow the money to stop ISIS. Focus on where the money is coming from (did I mention the Saudis?) that fund ISIS. All the more reason for the U.S. to frack away.  Every day we pay at the pump, we’re feeding the hand that bites us and kills innocents.  While the people who support ISIS have blood on their hands, we’re losing our souls.  ISIS has killed thousands of people, many helpless unarmed civilians,  The question should be asked, “What would happen tomorrow if we stopped buying Arab oil?”  If POTUS isn’t going to do anything about it, don’t we know best how to hit them where it hurts?  The pocketbook.  Stop funding ISIS. Why not boycott Arab oil?

Money Jihad

In 2007, the Islamic State of Iraq was seen as “the richest of the insurgency groups” in Iraq with $1 billion to 1.5 billion “collected in revenue by the group through foreign donations, enforced taxation and confiscation of the property and funds of Iraqis.” But the U.S. surge and ISI missteps significantly damaged the jihadist group’s ability to raise funds.

Seven years and three names later, ISIS amassed a $2 billion comeback and took control of large swathes of territory in northern Iraq including Mosul and 35 percent of Syria.

ISIS’s financial recovery has been marked by a slight shift away from reliance on local extortion networks (although those are still in effect), improved organizational and financial management by ISIS leader and self-proclaimed caliph Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, and the departure of U.S. troops in 2011.

The most important elements of ISIS’s funding are sadaqa (voluntary donations) from Arab…

$37.7 Billion in Foreign Aid in 2012

2012 Foreign Aid

2012 Foreign Aid

Tom Coburn’s $30B Wastebook was publicized recently.  What about foreign aid as a form of big government waste?  This infographic is a representation of where we are  “investing” $37.7B in foreign aid abroad in 2012.  It “appears” to make some sense, but foreign aid has always been a sore spot with many people.

Why not reinvest foreign aid money right here at home on our highways and bridges?  Why give aid to countries run by dictators, who pocket the millions and billions we give them?  What about giving piles of money to countries that hate us?  Will they use it against us?

Here are some of the more acute reader responses to the article from the Blaze

R1: First and foremost from an accounting standpoint this figure is woefully low as it does not break out the aid provided through the DOD and State Department. Second, there has never been good reason to provide charity/aid to countries like Israel and other developed countries. In fact we should be charging them for military assistance and military support in the region.  The US has to get dollars out into the rest of the world to maintain the global reserve status, if they don’t global economies get starved of liquidity and they will reject the US dollar as the global reserve…

It sounds crazy, but everything is not as you think… the US military, foreign policy, energy policy has one primary goal, “maintain the US dollar as the global reserve” if that is threatened, it is a threat to the US financial system and its stability. The “ponzi” needs to keep the money/debt liquidity game going.

Don’t worry the debt can’t and never will be paid…

R3: The constitutional authority to remove, via tax, a citizens funds to be transferred to foreign citizens, organizations or governments? I can see “some” for domestic assistance for Americans, none for foreign.  I also see no prevention of any American privately providing assistance to foreign interests. How does funds removed under threat of jail, asset seizure, fine given to others display a generous populous ? “Only” 1%…yea well we have 20 or so “only” x%…those who can… ADD.  I assume the billions in indirect aid via the multiple standing armies we have worldwide are excluded…of course…that’s different. Meanwhile Vets at home have one horror story after another…less than 1% I guess. The world doesn’t hate us, but they are tired of hearing how much better we are than they are… wouldn’t you? You know that guy that makes the TD catch then stands there pounding his chest about how great he is? We have turned into that guy. If you feel a need to even mention you are “exceptional”…you most certainly are not.

R4: The world hates the U.S.A. because all of our “aid” goes to FATTEN-UP SLAVE-WORLD DICTATORS and guess-what…. what little aid actually gets to their “people” REPLACES all normal ACTUAL food production.”OH, NOW WE DO NOT HAVE TO GROW ANY FOOD. WE GET PAID U.S.A. TAX MONEY NOT TO !! Plus the DICTATORS tell their SLAVES/peons “Guess-what— all the food sent by the enemy is poison!!!” Then the DICTATORS eat the food and sell the rest on the BLACK MARKET!!

Christians don’t teach our children to hate. Radical Islamists do.

Children of Islam

Children of Islam

Our liberal press a.k.a. MSM are more than willing to report a story when an angry American (of course they are white extremists) push or shove an innocent Muslim in the aftermath of the Boston Marathon bombings.

I agree its wrong and two wrongs don’t make a right, but ignorance and prejudice are wrong, too. The media bias is Beyond the Pale.

Best way to describe how the MSM tries to lead us around by the nose. The article, Why Muslims Kill by Daniel Greenwood, gets to the root cause as to why terrorists acts such as 9-11 and the Boston Marathon bombing are not going away.

Excerpt: “The better news outlets answer with convenient terms like “radicalization” or “self-radicalization” and much of the public, primed to react to meaningless political jargon as if it had meaning, will think that they understand. A radical, they know, is a bad person, except for a brief period when surfers and ninja turtles could use it and still be good people. They don’t quite know why that is, but they also don’t know why high debt is good for the economy or why Islam is a religion of peace.”

I think any attacks by American citizens is deplorable but let’s not lose sight what is happening to Christians worldwide being attacked, murdered and maimed by Muslim extremists.

The point is, where is the indignation on the part of Americans, the MSM, when countless hundreds of Christians are killed and thousands are injured every year at the hands of Islamic extremists. You have to dig to find a news story.

Angry Americans?  Christians don’t teach our children to hate. Islamists do.

Anytown Small Business Sequestration – A Letter from the CEO

EVAN VUCCI / AP President Barack Obama during the fiscal cliff negotiations in the briefing room of the White House on Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, in Washington.

EVAN VUCCI / AP  – President Barack Obama during the fiscal cliff negotiations in the briefing room of the White House on Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, in Washington.

ANNOUNCEMENT: Due to our inability to produce a product in the past 4 years and the conjoined, unbridled spending we have undertaken, it pains us to adopt the Government’s style Sequestration, a.k.a. mandatory spending cuts, here at Anytown Small Business, Inc.

Following the President’s example, I am voluntarily taking a 5% salary cut.  If I was making as much as our President, that would be enough to replace the windows in Building 100, thereby erasing the threat of Mud daubers terrorizing our finest.

Let me explain.  The promise of lower healthcare costs didn’t happen.

The promise of cleaner, renewable, and cheaper energy costs and fewer regulations, where everything that was beautiful, has now brought us down, didn’t happen.

Our hiring practices, spurred on by the promise of a Government backed Stimulus plan to create jobs and economic growth, didn’t happen.

We have had to hire armies of attorneys and consultants to remain in compliance of the new regulations and laws.

Each year over the past four years our healthcare costs have risen 25% or more.  As the Supreme Court has ruled, we all know now, even though the Main Stream Media (MSM) chooses to ignore, Obamacare is a tax!  Now on top of the cost of healthcare we have an additional tax burden.  Any new tax increases the cost of doing business.

So now we have to  reduce employment to less than 50 workers.  We are playing spin the bottle every day, after work of course.  The winner gets to kiss his or her job good-bye but gets to keep the bottle.

We’ve hired the people the Government wanted us to hire.  If you were down on your luck, if you had been laid off or fired somewhere else, if you had remained unemployed past the limit of your unemployment benefits, and you have been kicked to the curb by the government, you were on our radar.  Why not?  There were thousands of reasons to hire you.  Government incentives.  Government dollars.

Those of you who turned our job offers down and preferred to live on government entitlements, it seems like you’re working harder not to work.  Too often we have seen your job inquiries were bogus.  Too bad there were no frequent flyer points from Craig’s List for answering either your own phony ads or ads for which you need not apply, because you were not remotely qualified.

At Anytown, you would have come to the front of the line.  The less qualified the better.  Our local, county, state and federal government want you to work for us and they want to provide Anytown, thousands of dollars in incentives to hire you.

Of course, we all know, there are the many companies who take the government’s money and not only never meet quotas, meaning jobs, but basically fail, pick a Chapter 7 or 11.

Many who were hired spent their valuable time to build a truly homogeneous product.  We made every effort to provide our product in many different languages, including all of the Asian dialects, but then we realized all of our major competitors learned to publish their products in English and are our best customers, too.  As part of the Sequestration, we had to let every translator go.

This has been a tremendous benefit to our company’s bottom line, the cost cutting terminations and the fact is there that are still employees working for us that do not comprehend, read or write in English. The last thing we need is a lawsuit from the government.

Those of us who are capable of doing our  job, spend countless hours covering for our fellow employees, and the company appreciates it!   Unfortunately, we are also announcing 10%, across the board, salary cuts for all personnel, will affect each and every one of you… the same.   I thank you for your sacrifice.

Finally, we poured unconscionable sums of borrowed money into unproven technology and insolvent companies.  Our investments, while popular with the majority of our customer base, they did little to contribute to our future growth in revenues or in our company’s best interest.

After nearly going out of business it finally dawned on us.  The top 20% of our customers were contributing 70% of our revenues.   Our General Accounting Office (GAO) said it’s time we start paying attention to our paying customers.

Let’s hope they love golf!

Let’s Hope Michael Moore Doesn’t Get His Wish!

Michael Moore

Hey Michael! Syrian children are being slaughtered every day!

Now Hollywood is exploiting innocent young children.  Slaughtered.

How much more hate and hurt do you have to spew on the American public to get your big fat ass noticed?  Go make a movie. See if anyone will pay to see it, you washed-up sniveling hate monger.  UPDATE: The pig is fighting his wife over his assets in a divorce?!  Capitalist pig!

We don’t need Michael Moore to get his perverse and twisted wish to release pictures of the senseless slaughter of children at Sandy Hook.

Moore wants to distress the survivors families to further his seriously flawed agenda to take guns out of the hands of law abiding citizens.

Responsible citizens can come up with a common sense solution for saving the lives of our children without more suffering at the hands of haters, like Michael Moore.

We have thousands of horrific images of millions of defenseless Jews led to the slaughter in the Holocaust.  Has it stopped modern-day dictators from  slaughtering thousands of innocent civilians?  The answer is a resounding “No!”

syrian children

Click here to see senseless murder of children happening now!

Case in point, Syrian dictator, Bashar al-Assad army killing unarmed civilians being slaughtered by the thousands.

Where is Michael Moore’s fat ass voice on this issue?  Where is the mainstream media imploring their god and savior Barrack Obama to do something for the innocents being slaughtered in Syria?

History is the best teacher.  Hitler’s Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

Josef Stalin, the dictator of the Soviet Union from 1924 to 1953, said: “If the opposition disarms, well and good. If it refuses to disarm, we shall disarm it ourselves.”

In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Mao Tze Tung, communist dictator of China, said:

“War can only be abolished through war, and in order to get rid of the gun it is necessary to take up the gun.”

China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Idi Amin, president of Uganda from 1971 to 1979, said:

“I do not want to be controlled by any superpower. I myself consider myself the most powerful figure in the world, and that is why I do not let any superpower control me.”

Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979, 300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and exterminated.

Pol Pot, who created in Cambodia one of the 20th century’s most brutal and radical regimes, was responsible for killing one million of his own ‘educated,’ yet unarmed citizens.

Guns don’t kill people.  Maniacal, evil, crazy people, kill people.  Let’s get guns out of the hands of criminals and not out of the hands of innocent civilians!
