Your world’s too connected,

For an original thought.

You’re a poet, a writer, a pundit, beware,

Your words of wisdom, already taught.

You may as well be down under,

Or over the moon.

Your words aren’t your own,

And they can’t come too soon!

The world’s all a Twitter,

And your yesterday’s news.

Your 140 characters,

You’ve already been used.

Mr. Grumpy Pants

In a world filled with tragedy and sacrifice, with Islamic terror attacks in San Bernardino, Orlando, Istanbul, Bangladesh and now Nice, I am angry. Like many of you, I feel helpless. I try not to be judgmental. I’m trying to be more retrospective.

I hear every day, of the misery of innocents in Syria, Iraq and beyond, the suffering of so many, by religious persecution and genocide. How do I, should I, shut out the pain and suffering of others, so I might carry on with daily life?

Granted, I am a bit of a news junkie, in particular since 9/11. That day I was informed of the attack, I thought it was a joke. Now I stay informed.

Many who are close to me would advise me to be more laid back, less grumpy, let the planes fly over my house without mooning the passengers. I’m going to try to be more laid back. I may even consider cancelling the order for a 12 ft. sign telling a certain airline to “Get the f*** off my plain.”

Unfortunately, I remain a skeptic. For example, I find “Mr. Grumpy Pants” has a reason to remain in character with the decision by Mr. Comey, Director of the FBI to exonerate Hillary Clinton of any purposeful wrong doing in her use of a personal server for email as SOS. He just basically said she and all those associated with her are idiots, but that’s not a crime! Could we be faced with four, even eight more years of Obama!!??

"if you've got a business, you didn't build that"

“if you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that”

Have I grown increasing cynical? Probably. Do I feel less empowered? No. I make my own decisions and draw my own conclusions. Simply put, DC is corrupt and the only remedy is term limits.

I wrote Eyes Wide Open  a few years ago. It was a personal soul searching Q&A. I keep going back to it to find better answers, and disturbingly there are few if any, that I have discovered, only more consternation. I ended my missive by citing my best friend and companion over the past 13 years. Cody, my 13 yr. old chocolate lab passed away recently. I miss him terribly.

Cody epitomized everything that I believe should be right in this world. His life, was a respite fom everything that is wrong with this world. Cody gave me his unconditional love. I gave him mine. We need more relationships like ours. Did I mention I picked up his poop?

What Do Career Politicians, Professors and Community Organizers Have In Common?

I35W-Bridge-Collapse

I 35W Bridge Collapse – Cars rest on the collapsed portion of the I-35W Mississippi River bridge after the Aug. 1, 2007 collapse in which 13 people were killed and 145 were injured. America’s infrastructure has consistently beem rated poorly. U.S. Coast Guard photo

When it comes to politics, they think voters are stupid, don’t have time to question their lies, or don’t care!

Why else would career politician, Hillary Clinton, Professor Elizabeth Warren repeat, and community organizer a.k.a., Entreprenever and chief, Barack Obama’s well worn rhetoric, “If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.” referring to private businesses being dependent of big government.

We have a problem and it is a corrupt government and a complicit mainstream media.  Who has time to fact check all the lies we hear every day courtesy of the Obama administration and echoed by the media? Take as an example the huge waste in billions of stimulus dollars Obama spent as payback for getting him elected.

So how is it possible that big government can provide corporations and businesses with the vehicle to succeed? I decided to look on the popular website HowStuffWorks.com to see if they agreed with liberals. This is an excerpt: In 2009, Community Organizer and President Obama’s government spent a staggering $3.5 trillion dollars and raised $2.1 trillion in individual and corporate taxes — still leaving a budget deficit of more than a trillion dollars.

The Government doesn’t earn money!  “Government Funded”, “Government Subsidized”, “Government Money”, “Government Grant” … all mean “TAXPAYER FUNDED”, “TAXPAYER SUBSIDIZED”, “TAXPAYER MONEY”, or “TAXPAYER GRANT”. They’re all money from YOUR pocket.  Conclusion: The Government spends money!   Currently we are spending or speeding our way toward $18 trillion in debt.

In fact, 55% of all tax dollars come from small business that are spent on government programs, including infrastructure, roads and bridges.  When a small business person fills up at the pump, on average, we pay almost 50 cents per gallon to the government for taxes on gasoline, approximately 13 cents on every dollar.   Add toll roads to the equation and in many parts of the country the cost to taxpayers for infrastructure goes up.

“To say what he (Obama) said is to say that Steve Jobs didn’t build Apple Computer or that Bill Gates didn’t build Microsoft or that Henry Ford didn’t build Ford Motor Company or that Ray Kroc didn’t build McDonald’s or that Papa John’s didn’t build Papa John’s Pizza. This is the height of foolishness. It shows how out of touch he is with the character of America. It’s one more reason his policies have failed. It’s one more reason why we have to replace him in November.”  Mitt Romney.

Even the Washington Post gave the “You didn’t build that…” liberal nonsense credence, giving him 3 Pinocchio’s.

Here’s what Charles Krauthammer had to say, “The argument between left and right is about what you do beyond infrastructure. It’s about transfer payments and redistributionist taxation, about geometrically expanding entitlements, about tax breaks and subsidies to induce actions pleasing to central planners. It’s about free contraceptives for privileged students and welfare without work — the latest Obama entitlement-by-decree that would fatally undermine the great bipartisan welfare reform of 1996. It’s about endless government handouts that, ironically, are crowding out necessary spending on, yes, infrastructure.”

Professor Elizabeth Warren has never worked in the private sector.  She is my favorite definition of a politician, unemployed and unemployable.  What she fails to say is businesses pay the lion share of the taxes so everyone in this country can enjoy our roads and bridges, including Elizabeth Warren with her progressive anti-business rhetoric.

Enter career politician Hillary Clinton.  There is and there will be hundreds of thousands, if not millions of interviews, videos, news articles, and blogs, written about Clinton, but most assuredly the one she is going to have to walk back more often than most, is this video above about federally mandated minimum wage jobs, and about businesses and technology not being the engine of the US economy and jobs.

After all, The Race Against The Machines has already been lost.  There will be no minimum wage jobs in the future.  People who know how to use a caulk gun will be highly paid by those who do can’t pound a nail.

My prediction is that Hillary Clinton will be pounded back into the stone age by 2016. There will be a 3rd generation POTUS in 2016, like US Senator Marco Rubio, who knows how to use a smartphone. More on this when somebody is ready to listen.

Politifact – How the Liberal Media Carried Obama’s Water to 2 Elections

The Tampa Bay Times liberal media bias shows itself time and again while claiming to be a reliable source on the truth or lies politicians make.  Cancel my subscription.

In October 2008, when Obama still had two Presidential elections coming up, PolitiFact rated his statement as “true.”

In June 2012, when Obama only had one more Presidential election coming up, PolitiFact rated his statement as  “half true.”

In December 2013, when Obama could no longer run for President ever again, PolitiFact rated his statement as “lie of the year.”

Private sector velocity!? In 2011, IBM CEO, Palmisano offered the Obama Administration to fix Medicare and Medicaid to the tune of $900B for FREE. He was turned down twice!

AM-BB803_Watson_G_20140108221204

IBM Watson

This is mind boggling to me.  IBM’s CEO offering the Obama Administration software to fix Medicare/Medicaid for free…$200B in fraud, plus remedies for other healthcare concerns to the tune of $900B!  Reportedly the Obama Administration refused this offer not once but twice!

The obvious reason is Obama is running for re-election on Obamacare.  His reelection depended on the hype of the success of Obamacare as a means to reduce Medicare and Medicaid fraud.  It is one of their five major talking points of their Medicare.gov website.  “The life of the Medicare Trust fund will be extended to at least 2029—a 12-year extension due to reductions in waste, fraud and abuse, and Medicare costs, which will provide you with future savings on your premiums and coinsurance.”  Why would you want someone in the private sector solving the problem?

Plus. if you were a freeloading on Medicare or Medicaid, would you vote Republican?

I had to dig to find this original video, because I was very skeptical.., scroll to two minutes into the video. My jaw dropped by the end.  VIDEO —> http://on.wsj.com/193939f

HERE’S THE NARRATIVE…
The video opens with the Journal’s Alan Murray saying: “When President Obama was elected, you started spending a fair amount of time at the White House.”

Palmisano: “Yes, I did.”

Murray: “What was that all about?”

“Well,” Palmisano replied, “part of it was the administration was reaching out to the business community. I mean, I was one of many, obviously … around economic (issues)… So we were having lots of input, lots of exchange. That’s what we all were working on at the time.”

Asked how he thought the White House visits had turned out, Palmisano replied: “We haven’t made any progress. It doesn’t mean there hasn’t been a lot of interaction.”

Murray: “Well, what’s the point of interaction if it doesn’t lead to progress?”

Palmisano: “You’d have to ask the people who aren’t progressing.”

He added, We’ve done tons of work, and for whatever sets of reasons, we haven’t been able to establish, be in sync with, the priorities.”

Palmisano offered an example: “We — and I’m fairly confident about this one because it required no legislative change — we could have improved quality and reduced the costs of the health-care system by $900 billion… It was self-funding. You could have insured anybody you wanted to, illegal aliens, dogs, cats, ponies, whatever, right? And the stuff was simple. Did not require any big legislative change.”

About $400 billion of the reduced costs could be realized through negotiating discounts with drug companies, just as IBM negotiates its own discounts, he said. “Buy a nationwide discount,” he said. “Just like pharmaceutical companies sell to us on a nationwide discount. It’s no different. I said, ‘Take the IBM discount! Take the IBM discount.’ ”

Another example of savings: “Two hundred billion in fraud. That was a 3 percent improvement, by the way. This wasn’t transformational. … There’s so much fraud in the system — 3 percent and then Year 7 was 8 percent, Year 5 was 5 percent. It’s 200 billion.”

Murray: “And why didn’t they do that? Is there a fraud –”

Palmisano: “I said we would do it for free to prove that it works. They turned us down. You’ll have to ask them… Free. Free wasn’t good enough.”

I didn't know!

I didn’t know!

Murray asks again: Why?

Palmisano replies, “I think what it is, not to be judgmental about these things, I really do think what it is that we weren’t aligning with the priorities. … the priority at the time, if I stay on my example of health care, was not to reduce costs and improve quality. It was to provide insurance and coverage for more people. That was our priority in the line. All we said, if you did this you could fund the priority without increasing the deficit, taking taxes up. And we couldn’t sell the case.”

We have all paid a huge price for the 2012 election bid made by Barack Obama.

Syrian Rebels – Are the Moderates in the Lead?

Roadmap to Syria Oposition

Roadmap to Syria Opposition

The President, the lawmakers, and the mainstream media, for more than two years now, continue to bank on the assumption the Syrian rebels are controlled by Al-Qaeda, and the misinformation from MSM pundits, that we should not aid the rebels in Syria.  Meanwhile over 120,000 have died and millions have been displaced from their homes. The refugee camp in Jordan is the 5th largest city in Jordan right now. This is the inconvenient truth.

We should make them watch this atrocity —> An incendiary bomb dropped on to a school playground.

My concern is the public has been ill advised. Below are, what I believe, reliable sources that the Syrian rebels are controlled by moderates. Considering we still do have some predominantly Muslim countries, Jordan being one, and our long term ally, Israel, who have expressed allegiance to the US, what happens if we do nothing?

I saw Brett Baird’s recent interview on Special Reports with Elizabeth O’Bagy. Brett deferred to her experience of the region. I found O’Bagey to be intelligent, well-educated, and informed on the people, the countries, the sects, and the religions of the Middle East. Her observations were based on actual “feet on the ground.” Looks like I made a big mistake on Elizabeth O’Bagey trusting Fox News to vett their sources. NOTE: John McCain Hires Elizabeth O’Bagy, Syria Analyst Recently Fired Over False Ph.D Claim

Recent interviews on Hannity also buoy my opinion a US precision air strikes will benefit the moderate rebels in Syria. Gen. Jack Keane, who also has had his “feet on the ground” in Syria states, “Moderates are in the lead…”, and Krauthammer on the same Hannity (Hannity appears to have removed the video from his show), backs Keane up. You can see the videos on “Fox News-Expert on Syrian politics, security speaks out.” http://shar.es/z9kSL

Looking at the challenges we have had in the Middle East region, Iraq being one, would we better off today without Iraq’s testy alliance? How about the Iraqi people? Do the majority of the Iraqi people hate the US? Maybe that should be a clue as to what we should do in Syria, or is it too late? So many lives lost, so many Syrians misplaced from their homes. Do they blame the US?

There are many in Congress, on both sides of the aisle, who oppose us helping the rebels in Syria. Rather than condemn the Syrian people, it strikes me that, as a Christian, those of faith, Christians and Muslims, are being slaughtered both by the governments of Syria, Egypt and Iran, the Muslim Brotherhood and Islamist extremists. There are even claims of the rebels killing Christians who have sided with the Assad regime, but I have to believe in the good in people.

On one hand, I like the way Greg Guttfeld said it in his book, The Joy of Hate “I don’t hate all of them (Muslims). I just hate the ones that are trying to kill us.” I have no doubt, we are in great danger. No doubt, there should be more support from the “good” Muslims, but they’re scared and intimidated, too.

I believe that the majority of Middle Easterners, regardless of what tribe, region, or faith, are basically good people. As Americans, we are rich in tradition for having helped innocent people in harms way, and we need to protect the Syrian people from further harm.

In the end I think O’Bagey is a legitimate source, whereas most in the mainstream media are hacks that are reporting on this story are relying on 2nd and 3rd hand information. Some might some might dismiss O’Bagey based on the history alone in the region. I believe. if you ignore all the rhetoric, follow the reporting of people like O’Bagey, Gen. Jack Keane and Charles Krauthammer the decision would be clear, to help the Syrian rebels.

If you believe in reincarnation, and we do nothing to help innocent people from dying maybe if we die and go to hell, we may be reborn in the Middle East?

Christians don’t teach our children to hate. Radical Islamists do.

Children of Islam

Children of Islam

Our liberal press a.k.a. MSM are more than willing to report a story when an angry American (of course they are white extremists) push or shove an innocent Muslim in the aftermath of the Boston Marathon bombings.

I agree its wrong and two wrongs don’t make a right, but ignorance and prejudice are wrong, too. The media bias is Beyond the Pale.

Best way to describe how the MSM tries to lead us around by the nose. The article, Why Muslims Kill by Daniel Greenwood, gets to the root cause as to why terrorists acts such as 9-11 and the Boston Marathon bombing are not going away.

Excerpt: “The better news outlets answer with convenient terms like “radicalization” or “self-radicalization” and much of the public, primed to react to meaningless political jargon as if it had meaning, will think that they understand. A radical, they know, is a bad person, except for a brief period when surfers and ninja turtles could use it and still be good people. They don’t quite know why that is, but they also don’t know why high debt is good for the economy or why Islam is a religion of peace.”

I think any attacks by American citizens is deplorable but let’s not lose sight what is happening to Christians worldwide being attacked, murdered and maimed by Muslim extremists.

The point is, where is the indignation on the part of Americans, the MSM, when countless hundreds of Christians are killed and thousands are injured every year at the hands of Islamic extremists. You have to dig to find a news story.

Angry Americans?  Christians don’t teach our children to hate. Islamists do.
